Mummas Complete - 5 week Couples Antenatal Course
Devised by midwives, this really is the most comprehensive antenatal course around. The education you will receive on this course is up to date, wide ranging and delivered in a way that is informal and fun (with a promise of no ice breakers or role play!)
Over the 5 week course you will learn:
- Stages of labour, and how to understand each one
- Hormones and their role in labour and birth
- Breathing and partner techniques for labour
- Pain relief
- Baby feeding (breast and bottle feeding)
- Practical newborn baby care
Mummas Hypnobirthing - 2 day/10 hour Couples Course
This comprehensive course will cover all aspects of labour & birth, including birth physiology, stages & signs of labour. As well as breathing, relaxation & visualisation techniques, massage & partner techniques and pain relief options.
A fully inclusive course suitable for 1st or 2nd time (plus) couples. Hypnobirthing isn’t just for those wanting to achieve a “natural” birth, you can use the techniques for use in any labour. We promote positive birth and encourage mums to play an active role in their labour journey.
Mummas Ultimate Birthing Class - The Ultimate in Birth Preparation
Is a wonderful mix of pregnancy movement & relaxation, geared towards labour. Movement, but not for movements sake, will incorporate specific exercises which will help your body to relax and encourage your baby into the optimum position for their birth.
The focus of this class is birth, the best way to prepare for birth, is by learning how to fully relax, to understand the birth process and to understand how you can utilise and harness gravity and breathing techniques to achieve a positive birth experience.
You'll learn different breathing techniques which can be utilised during labour, we aren't here to give you a prescription for labour, but we can give you a tool kit of things which may help.
Each week we use a different relaxation script at the end of class, this is your chance to truly relax, connect with your baby and prepare yourself for birth.
This course is a Mums only course which runs over 6 weeks. You can do one block of 6 weeks, however many will opt for 12 weeks.
Essential Birth Preparation Workshop
A great workshop for second (or more) timers as a refresher, or for those wanting a shorter couples workshop.
Down to earth and practical this workshop will take you through the different stages of labour, it will help you get a real understanding of what happens to your body during labour and how you can make that process as efficient as possible.
We learn specific breathing and partner techniques for use during labour, and we also talk about other forms of pain relief, induction and when things "go off plan".
All our courses are designed to help new and existing parents prepare for pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood in a relaxed and supportive environment - and are a great way to connect with other families in your area!
