Busylizzy is a boutique fitness club for mums and little ones. A Busylizzy membership is a ‘must have’ for mums looking to enjoy fun & friendly pregnancy, baby and postnatal fitness (no childcare required!) with like-minded new friends.
Buslizzy Horsham is run by Jen, a local of mum of 2 who joined Busylizzy when it first launched in Horsham & Crawley in April 2016.
Busylizzy activities only take place in beautiful locations in and around Horsham, and all venues offer a fabulous, family-friendly service. Why put up with cold, dusty village halls with grubby baby toys and cramped toilet floors for changing nappies? Our venues are all modern, light and clean with easy parking and dedicated changing facilities.
We offer a range of fun and flexible classes:
Mummy & Me Aerobics:
We’ll take you on a fitness journey with a 15/15/15 approach – 15 minutes each of heart-pumping aerobics & dance, 15 minutes of toning beautiful mummy curves, and 15 minutes of stretching and core work. Share this enjoyable class with your baby – either resting in your car seat/carrier or playing with their baby friends on our comfy cushions/duvets with toys. Baby crawlers welcome, but no walkers please.
Mummy & Me Bootcamp:
Our Bootcamp class is designed to burn up to 500 calories in short sharp bursts – giving you a great all over body workout. Sessions are designed to challenge and push you that little bit harder making them ideal for mummies looking for the extra motivation to achieve their fitness goals - although all fitness levels are welcome. In each session you work to your own ability, increasing your fitness and stamina week on week. All classes take place outdoors come rain or shine so please bring with you a bottle of water, layered clothes so you can strip off and warm up /cool down, a towel and baby/little one in buggy. All you need is your baby in a buggy, sports clothing, trainers, a towel and a big drink of water.
Mummy & Me Buggy Fitness:
Buggy Fitness is an innovative class tailored for new mums, blending cardio with muscle toning to help you cope with the demands of motherhood. You bring your baby with you, strapped into a buggy, so there’s no need for childcare. We’ll get your heart racing as you power-walk, jog through parks, do push-ups against trees, run up and down steps, and most importantly, have fun! All fitness levels are welcome – you work at your own pace to gradually increase your fitness.
Mummy & Me Pilates:
A relaxed yet focused class, specially developed by busylizzy for post-natal mums wanting to get back into pre-pregnancy shape. Our innovative approach takes traditional Pilates principles such as stretching, strengthening and realigning the body and tailors them for new mummies, so expect to work those stubborn areas affected by pregnancy and labour, and tone those pesky pelvic floor and abdominals! It’s also a great way to meet like-minded new mummy friends. As with all Mummy & Me classes, babies (non walkers) are safely placed on mats with toys while you enjoy your workout. You can feed, change or give your little one a cuddle whenever you need to!
Mummy & Me Yoga:
Schedule some ‘me’ time into your week! As your baby is with you, you can enjoy this special time together in a calming and positive environment. Suitable for all mummy yoga/fitness levels. This postnatal yoga class is designed to align body, improve posture, promote wellbeing and strengthen the core and lower back (important after giving birth with the constant lifting and carrying). The gentle session will release tension in the shoulders, tone the abdomen and teach key deep-breathing exercises to alleviate tiredness and clear the mind.
We also have a lovely range of baby classes to keep your little ones busy - and allow you to do something for you, and something for them all wrapped up in one membership. From Baby Music and Boogie to Baby Massage, Yoga, Baby Signing, messy play and multi-sensory exploration - there's something on every day!
